This training will provide faith-based organizations with information on active shooters and their characteristics, as well as the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Run, Hide, Fight, approach to active shooters. Faith based organizations will be given a list of recommendations to mitigate the risks of active shooters and how to manage the consequences if an incident occurs.

This module will provide participant(s) with information on how to recognize a life-threatening bleed. The participants will be given recommendations to mitigate the risks of stopping a bleed and the steps to stop the bleeding though pressure, packing and tourniquet.

This training will provide the community with information on terrorism and its motivation, as well as the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) 8 Signs of Terrorism and the possible targets. The community will be taught how to recognize suspicious activity and how to correctly report the activity.

This module will provide the participants with information on surveillance detection and searches. The participants will be able to describe how to conduct surveillance detection, vehicle searches, identify suspicious package(s), and conduct the recommended US Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) techniques for bag searches.
